How the Sam Heughan Fan Line Works
The Fan Line is an automated phone system (IVR) powered by Twilio. When you call the official number, you’ll hear a menu that lets you verify fan codes, leave a message to join, or listen to news and events.
Main Menu Options
Verify Fan Access Code
Enter the code you were given by admin or through a promotion. The system checks it against the fan database and confirms whether it’s valid and active.
Join the Fan Club
New fans can leave a short voice message asking to join. That recording is saved for admin review, who can then create an official fan code and link it to your phone number.
Hear Latest News
This reads updates from the News section stored inside the system. The same content is visible on the News page of this website.
Upcoming Events
Listen to upcoming events, appearances or special fan-related information. The same information is also shown on the Events page here.
Phone + Web = One Fan Profile
When you later create your web account and link your fan access code, your Fan Line activity and your website profile can be connected. This helps admin understand who is an active, verified fan – without sharing your phone number publicly.
If you already have a code, you’ll soon be able to link it inside the Access Code page after logging in.
